About Sallie Mae's Saving for College Video Contest
Contest participants can enter from June 15 to August 1, 2009, on behalf of themselves, a family member or friend, by uploading a 30-seconds-or-less video clip on creative ways they can help save for future education costs. After the initial voting and judging phase, ten finalists will be determined to enter the final voting phase August 10 – August 25. The public will then have a chance to vote for their favorite video. The video with the most votes at the end of the final voting phase will be awarded a grand prize of $5,000, and the second place winner will be awarded a prize of $1,000. The remaining 8 finalists will receive $250 each.
